Like raster files, the underlay is linked to the drawing file through a path name, which can be changed or removed at any time. However, you cannot bind an underlay to a drawing and you cannot edit or modify the underlay\u2019s content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By attaching dwf, you can access files in your drawing without greatly increasing the drawing file size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Command line enter &#8220;DWFAttach&#8221; or Click Menu &#8220;Insert\/DWF Underlay&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Select Reference File dialog box, select the file you want to attach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click Open.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Attach DWF Underlay dialog box, select one sheet, or select multiple sheets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use one of the following methods to specify the insertion point, scale, or rotation of the underlay file:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Specify On-Screen to use the pointing device to attach the DWF underlay at the location, scale, or angle you want.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear Specify On-Screen and enter values under Insertion Point, Scale, or Rotation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click OK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"897\" src=\"https:\/\/dwgsee.com\/cad\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/attachdwfunderlay-1024x897.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dwgsee.com\/cad\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/attachdwfunderlay-1024x897.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dwgsee.com\/cad\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/attachdwfunderlay-300x263.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dwgsee.com\/cad\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/attachdwfunderlay-768x673.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dwgsee.com\/cad\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/attachdwfunderlay.jpg 1047w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can attach a DWF, DWFx file as an underlay to a drawing file.
